Terms of Service
PokeAFK is a free browser game made by fans. These terms are the agreement between you and us while you use the site and the game. They are written to be read.
Last updated: 2026-08-08
1. What this is, and what it is not
PokeAFK is an independent, fan-made idle game playable in a browser at pokeafk.com.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Nintendo or any of the rights holders of the franchise that inspired it. Every trademark belongs to its owner. We make no claim to any of them.
By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.
If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they accept these terms together with you.
We will close an account we have good reason to believe belongs to someone under 13.
3. Your account
An account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself — anything done with your login is treated as done by you.
You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google. Your email address is how we know an account is yours, so if you lose access to it, you may lose access to the account. Confirming your address is not required to play, but it is the only thing that makes recovery possible.
Accounts are not for sale. Do not sell, buy, rent, lend or transfer one.
4. How to behave
Do not:
- use bots, scripts, macros, modified clients or anything else that plays for you;
- exploit a bug instead of reporting it — a bug you tell us about is never held against you;
- harass other players, post hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, or spam;
- create extra accounts to farm invites, rewards or votes;
- impersonate a game master or another player;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach parts of it that are not yours.
Public chat is public. A game master can read it, other players can screenshot it, and it is not the place for anything private.
5. Creatures, items and currency
Everything inside the game — creatures, items, gold, Star Shards — is a licence to use it inside the game. It is not property, it has no value outside the game, and it cannot be exchanged for money.
Running a live game means changing it. Prices, drop rates, rewards and balance can and will be adjusted.
VIP buys convenience and never power. Everything a VIP account can do, a free account can also do — VIP does not raise catch rates, drop rates or rewards, anywhere. If it ever appears to, that is a bug and we will fix it rather than keep it.
6. Buying Star Shards, and changing your mind
Star Shards are sold in packs, by card or Pix. The price shown at checkout is the price charged, and the Star Shards are credited as soon as the payment clears.
Right of regret: if you are in Brazil, article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code gives you 7 days from the purchase to cancel it and get your money back. Write to us from the account's email address and we will refund it. We may remove the Star Shards, and anything bought with them, from the account.
After those 7 days a purchase is final, unless something went wrong on our side — a double charge, or Star Shards that never arrived. Tell us and we will fix it.
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of writing to us, we may suspend the account until it is settled.
7. Your progress
Your progress is meant to last. We have no plan to wipe accounts or reset the world, and if that ever changed we would announce it on the site and on Discord well before it happened.
What we may still do: remove items, currency or creatures obtained by cheating, through a bug, or with a payment that was later reversed; and take the game offline briefly for maintenance.
If we ever have to shut the service down for good, we will announce it in advance.
8. When rules are broken
Depending on what happened, we may warn you, mute you, suspend the account or close it permanently. Cheating, fraud and attacks on the service can be answered immediately and permanently.
An account closed for cheating or fraud is not refunded for unspent Star Shards.
If you believe a decision was wrong, write to us. A person will read it.
9. What you write
Trainer names, the story on your profile, chat messages and party names are yours. You give us permission to display them inside the game and on the site, and we may remove anything that breaks these terms.
10. The service, as it is
The game is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of bugs, and we are not liable for lost progress, lost virtual items or indirect damage.
Nothing here removes a right you have under Brazilian consumer law, which we cannot and do not try to waive.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change matters we announce it on the site and on Discord, and the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Brazilian law. A consumer may bring a dispute in the courts of their own domicile.
