Gold & Star Shards

PokeAFK has two currencies. Gold is the in-game soft currency: you earn it by farming and spend it at NPC shops and the auction house. It's what runs the day-to-day economy.

Star Shards (SS) are the premium currency, used only for VIP, skins, and cosmetics. You get Star Shards two ways: buy a package in the web Store (1 SS = R$1, with bonus SS on larger packs), or buy them from other players on the auction house using Gold.

Because Star Shards can be earned with Gold on the auction house, a dedicated free player can unlock VIP and cosmetics without spending a cent — Star Shards buy convenience and looks, never power.
